Biological agriculture products are more and more sought-after by consumers. In front of an increasing demand, the offer is evolving. The surfaces intended to be used for biological cultivation are increasing from year to year. Even the number of the companies that are making a biological conversion are more and more numerous Sicily presents the best economical and structural condition for the direction of an economic and agrarian survey about biological agriculture. This is also in relation to the fact that, in Sicily, is to be found a horticulture in a protected environment, even with productions out of season obtained from increasing organic cultivation. Therefore, the results of an economical agricultural fact-finding survey about biological horticulture in a protected environment â reported in this study â denote a great benefit for the final operational purposes of the endogenous and exogenous parts of soil involved in the biological agriculture consolidation.
