The aim of this paper is to examine the role of franglais from a lexicographic perspective. I will analyse and comment on the lexicographic choices made in the revised versions of two monolingual dictionaries (Le Petit Robert and Le Petit Larousse) through a corpus of anglicisms taken from French newspapers. This will help investigate the relationship between norm and usage, in the light of French prescriptive language policies.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to examine the role of franglais from a lexicographic perspective. I will analyse and comment on the lexicographic choices made in the revised versions of two monolingual dictionaries (Le Petit Robert and Le Petit Larousse) through a corpus of anglicisms taken from French newspapers. This will help investigate the relationship between norm and usage, in the light of French prescriptive language policies.File in questo prodotto:
