Abstract

Recent editors of Menander’s Aspis are inclined to accept Gaiser’s proposal of assigning Com. Adesp. F 287 K. to this play on the basis of the coincidence of its end with some letters that can be read in the Bodmer Papyrus after v. 235 Sandb. This hypothesis is here shown to be not very convincing, because the verse would not fit well in the context.
