The article analyzes the American historical imaginary present in The Walking Dead, in The Simpson and in Timeless. In these tv-series, history is a subtext in which individual characters embody some key-moments in American and, in general, in Western Europe history: the pioneers, the myth of the frontier, the conquest of the West, the genocide of the Native Americans, the difficult construction of democracy in the nineteenth century, the contrast between nature and industrial civilization, the Civil War and soon.
