A case of death due to body stuffer syndrome is described. A 20-year-old girl, more than 6 hours after the ingestion of a polyethylene wrapper containing about 5 grams of cocaine, developed seizure and other signs of neurological alteration. Case history, histological and toxicological data are described and evaluated in light of the recent findings about mechanisms of central nervous system toxicity due to cocaine.
