Ureterouterine fistula, a very uncommon injury in obstetric procedures, is primarily caused by cesarean section. Its diagnosis and immediate treatment may avoid the need for major surgery or a possible functional damage to urinary tract. This report describes a case of ureterouterine fistula after a troublesome cesarean section. Postoperatively, the patient complained of a continuous urine leakage from her vagina with a normal micturition. After direct vision by speculum, we instilled methylene blue solution into the bladder and then intravenous indago carmine was given. Further ecography and intravenous urography were performed. All the above diagnostic procedures confirmed the diagnosis. A double 'J' ureteral stent was placed by cystoscopy. The canalization of the ureter was gradual. After 12 days, the stent was removed and the patient recovered. The follow up documented the success of the treatment.
