Since the beginning of the archaeological research in the city of Hatra (Northern Mesopotamia, 1st-3rd cent.AD), graffiti have been discovered on the walls of both public and private buildings. This corpus of scratched drawings and incised inscriptions has already demonstrated its usefulness in the reconstruction and betterdescription of the social background of the city and the various cultures of its inhabitants. In this article anew selection of unpublished inscriptions incised on the walls of houses and public buildings of Hatra ispresented. It includes an archaeological report on their original location and a catalogue where informationregarding their discovery is found.
Sin dall'inizio degli scavi archeologici nel sito di Hatra (Mesopotamia settentionale, I-III secolo d.C.), sono stati rinvenuti graffiti raffiguranti immagini e iscrizioni incise sui muri di edifici pubblici e abitazioni.
