In the Hyblean Plateau, the Late Quaternary deformation mainly caused the tectonic inversion of Early Pleistocene tectonic features, which partially reactivated at very low displacement-rate, as effect of the NNW-SSE trending Africa-Europe convergence. The overall reconstructed deformation path would suggest that on-shore active tectonics of the Hyblean Plateau could have a seismogenic potential that might be estimated by further field studies.

Abstract
In the Hyblean Plateau, the Late Quaternary deformation mainly caused the tectonic inversion of Early Pleistocene tectonic features, which partially reactivated at very low displacement-rate, as effect of the NNW-SSE trending Africa-Europe convergence. The overall reconstructed deformation path would suggest that on-shore active tectonics of the Hyblean Plateau could have a seismogenic potential that might be estimated by further field studies.File in questo prodotto:
