The B-11(p,alpha(0))Be-8 reaction was studied from 1 MeV down to astrophysical energies by means of the Trojan-horse method applied to the H-2(B-11,alpha(0)(8)Be)n three-body reaction performed at an incident energy of 27 MeV. Coincidence spectra measured in a kinematically complete experiment show the presence of the quasifree B-11-p process. The astrophysical factor S(E) for the B-11(p,alpha(0))Be-8 reaction was extracted from the three-body cross section at low neutron momentum. The result was compared with the behavior of the astrophysical factor from the directly measured two-body reaction.
