Within the suffruticous cabbages of Brassica sect. Brassica a new species from Sicily, named B. raimondoi, is described and illustrated. This is a chasmophyte restricted to some calcareous rocky walls near Taormina (NE Sicily). The new species is morphologically rather related to B. incana, mainly in sharing similar densely hairy broad amplexicaul leaves and winged petiole, but many diacritic characters allow these species to be well distinguished. Most relevant difference are white corolla, bigger floral peaces, more developed stigma papillae, shorter siliqua, with keeled valves and smaller seedless rostrum, c. three times shorter fruiting pedicel, smaller seeds with different colour and testa micro-sculptures. Analytical keys regarding the current Sicilian taxa belonging to this section are also provided
