A famous Latin epigraph from Tymandos (Pisidia) – which bears the text of an imperialletter granting the inhabitants the right to establish a civitas – is set in close connectionwith three other inscriptions from Kolbasa, Termessos and Sagalassos, all Pisidian cities.The comparison allows both to propose a new dating for the epigraph of Tymandos(312/313 or before 324) and to understand the variability of reactions towards Christianityby the urban centres of the same Anatolic region.
Una famosa epigrafe latina da Tymandos (Pisidia) – recante il testo di una lettera imperiale che concede agli abitanti il diritto di istituire una civitas – è posta in stretto collegamento con altre tre iscrizioni provenienti da Kolbasa, Termessos e Sagalassos, tutte città pisidiche. Il confronto permette sia di proporre una nuova datazione per l'epigrafe di Tymandos (312/313 o prima del 324 d.C.) sia di comprendere la varietà delle reazioni nei confronti del cristianesimo da parte dei centri urbani di una stessa regione anatolica.
