The authors have evaluated the efficacy and tolerability of mezlocillin, a broa-spectrum ureidopenicillin, in the treatment of primitive or post-operation infections of the oral cavity. The posology was 1 or 2 g b.i.m. and the patients in the trial were 25. The results were: one (4%) failure and 24 (96%) recoveries. The tolerability was excellent in all the patients.
