The activity of sulbenicillin was determined against a variety of anaerobes by means of broth dilution tests and comapred with that of penicillin, cefoxitin, clindamycin. The activity of sulbenicillin for all tested strains was very high. the inhibitory concentrations Killing 50% and 90% of strains were similar for cefoxitin and clindamycin, specific anti-anaerobic molecules.
