This paper - the second part of a previous article that appeared in this magazine in 2017 - aims to analyze the birth and development of Japanese literature on the web between 1988 and 2007, before the boom of keitai shōsetsu (novels on mobile). After presenting a series of works that have become spokesmen for new forms of narration (metafiction, blog, chat, etc.), an attempt will be made to analyze the phenomenon of web literature and electronic publications, both in terms of numbers and annual turnover .
