Infestations of Dysaphis crataegi (Kaltenbach) have been detected in recent years on squash in Sicily, Italy. Taxonomic and biological notes are given on this aphid. The epidemiology of D. crataegi on squash as well as a description of the damage observed and possible control measures are briefly described.
