Interiezione, fonosimbolo e imperativo come espressioni di un’unica categoria sintattica?

Building on Menza (2006) and some recent studies on interjections and on the role of features in the syntax and semantics of expressivity, (Munaro 2019, Colasanti e Silvestri 2019, Gutzmann 2019), the author claims that lexical, non-lexical interjections and imperatives share features responsible for the activation of specific use-conditional contents, along with a series of restrictions (incompatibility with subordination and negation etc.), depending on the projected structures or the place occupied by each element into these structures. He thus distinguishes two macro-classes: on the one hand, interjections merged above ForceP; on the other hand, imperatives and “nuclear” interjections, merged in the verbal core of the sentence, projecting structures truncated at different levels according to their degree of functional or semantic-pragmatic “self sufficiency”.

Riprendendo alcuni spunti presenti in Menza (2006) e alla luce di studi recenti sulla sintassi dell’interiezione e sul ruolo dei tratti nella sintassi e semantica dell’espressività (Munaro 2019, Colasanti e Silvestri 2019, Gutzmann 2019) l’autore propone che fonosimboli, interiezioni e imperativi condividano tratti da cui deriva una caratterizzazione in termini di contenuti uso-condizionali nonché una serie di restrizioni (insubordinabilità, non-negabilità ecc.), riconducibili alle strutture proiettate o alla collocazione di ciascun elemento all’interno di tali strutture. Distingue così tra due macrogruppi: da un lato fonosimboli e interiezioni generati al di sopra di ForceP; dall’altro imperativi e interiezioni “nucleari”, che generano, a partire dal nucleo, strutture troncate a vari livelli, sulla base del grado di “autosufficienza” semantico-pragmatica o funzionale.
