Abstract
The paper contains some proposals of reform of the ECB with the aim of strengthening the democratic legitimacy of this institution. The study argues for more accountability and increased competences of the European Central Bank without giving up independence, within the particular EU governance system and of the Eurozone in particular. Moreover, the issue will be analyzed from the wider de-iure-condendo perspective of an integral reform of the monetary union into a true political union.File in questo prodotto:
