Le divisioni amministrative della Sicilia dall’Impero Romano ad oggi: un viaggio tra funzioni strategiche, prospettive di sviluppo locale e “gattopardismo” nel governo del territorio

The author writes about the administrative divisions in Italy and Sicily, from Roman times until the mid-twentieth century, which were inspired by the political-administrative, judicial, ecclesiastical functions and census.The author explains how these recent issues must be integrated with special autonomy, given by constitutional law in Sicily. An autonomy that has not been used to strengthen to the economic structures by means of the administrative divisions but, on the contrary, has been used in institutional transformation to preserve positions of power.

Gli autori scrivono sulle divisioni amministrative in Italia e in Sicilia, dai tempi dell'antica Roma fino al Novecento, che sono stati ispirati da funzioni politiche-amministrative, giudiziarie, ecclesiastichee dai censimenti. Gli autori spiegano come queste interpretazioni devono essere integrate con la speciale autonomia di cui gode la Regione Siciliana. un'autonomia che non è stata usata per rafforzare le strutture economiche mediante le divisioni amministrative, ma al contrario le trasformazioni istituzionali preservano le posizioni di potere.
