The environmental labels and declarations, defined by the standard ISO 14020, are voluntary instruments of the environmental management which can encourage the customer demand for more ecological products/services. Among them, the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), environmental label type III, is a document which contains objective, comparable and credible information about the environmental impact of a product/service. The EPD, assessing product/service life cycle, allows the evaluation of all environmental features and potential impacts.
