Quality management and assurance systems of tourism facilities and servicesare fundamental to a healthy and growing tourism industry. Tourism operators playan important role in ensuring overall quality of a destination. Nevertheless theirinvestment in quality is effected by effort and resources required as well as by thebehaviour of the other tourism firms of that destination and the development oftourism in that area. The paper considers this issue presenting the result of a surveymade in the Province of Enna, Sicily.
