Light elements lithium, beryllium and boron (LiBeB) seem to play a crucial role as probes for different mixing processes acting in stellar interior. Due to their fragility, these elements are mainly destroyed by (p,a) reactions occurring at temperatures of some 10(6) Kelvin. Detailed and precise informations about the S(E)-factor for such channels are then needed. To this aim, in this work the recent results about the B-11(p,alpha(0))Be-8 and B-10(p,alpha)Be-7 reactions are reported.

Abstract

Light elements lithium, beryllium and boron (LiBeB) seem to play a crucial role as probes for different mixing processes acting in stellar interior. Due to their fragility, these elements are mainly destroyed by (p,a) reactions occurring at temperatures of some 10(6) Kelvin. Detailed and precise informations about the S(E)-factor for such channels are then needed. To this aim, in this work the recent results about the B-11(p,alpha(0))Be-8 and B-10(p,alpha)Be-7 reactions are reported.
