In this brief note, the generalized Letov formula for MIMO not-strictly proper systems is presented. The study presented in this letter allows to obtain directly from a particularly defined matrix transfer function the optimal poles of the linear quadratic regulator closed-loop system. More examples are discussed in the manuscript including also the case of lossless positive-real systems.

Abstract

In this brief note, the generalized Letov formula for MIMO not-strictly proper systems is presented. The study presented in this letter allows to obtain directly from a particularly defined matrix transfer function the optimal poles of the linear quadratic regulator closed-loop system.
