Immanenza e trascendenza della fraternità. Riflessioni sulla Fratelli tutti di papa Francesco

Death is the figure of immanence, the destiny that envelops even the most noble and daring dream, but it is not the telos of existence. The telos is “beyond”, it is an outside that lives among us and within us: the Other who reaches our heart and increases ourbeing. This creates the invincible bond, communion, which is the authentic form of friendship and love towards oneself and others. The Other lives in our hearts, unites us fraternally and opens us to universal acceptance; this opening is not a dispersion of energy, but a convocation. Only the transcendent who dwells in us and among us can summon all the realities, even the most peripheral and apparently irrelevant ones, and establish fraternity in the present moment.

La morte è cifra dell’immanenza, il destino che avvolge anche il sogno più nobile e ar- dito, ma non è il telos dell’esistenza. Il telos è “al di là”, è un fuori che abita in mezzo a noi e dentro di noi: l’Altro che raggiunge il nostro cuore e accresce il nostro essere. Questo crea il legame invincibile, la comunione, che è la forma autentica dell’amicizia e dell’amore verso sé stessi e gli altri. L’Altro abita nei nostri cuori, ci unisce fraterna- mente e ci apre all’accoglienza universale; tale apertura non è dispersione di energia, ma convocazione. Solo il trascendente che abita in noi e tra di noi può convocare tutte le realtà, anche quelle più periferiche e apparentemente irrilevanti, attorno a sé, e instaurare la fraternità nel momento presente
