Syracuse along with its important testimonies of urban archeology that have marked, without interruption. a millenary history full of infinite significant values, represents the experimental laboratory on which we have chosen to work. In particular, the relationship between archeology and urban development was addressed, a criticai issue on which the SDS has developed various design experiences in an attempt to experiment with a new paradigm that appreciates the ancient vestiges, not as a problem, but as a proactive opportunity in the urban redevelopment project.
