Josef Winkler’s collection of short texts Leichnam, seine Familie belauernd (2003) is written from a point of view that magnifies the central motif of the journey. The stories originate from various aspects of the first-person narrator's life that are both spatial and temporal. In this work the term „geography“ depends on strictly crossborder perceptions and feelings. Along with Michel De Certau, we believe that in Leichnam “space is composed of intersections of mobile elements”: memory transforms a space in an other one. Such transitory space is, in Winkler’s “supermodern world” (Augé), a space for flâneurs, who travel around the world, as if it were a city.

Abstract
Josef Winkler’s collection of short texts Leichnam, seine Familie belauernd (2003) is written from a point of view that magnifies the central motif of the journey. The stories originate from various aspects of the first-person narrator's life that are both spatial and temporal. In this work the term „geography“ depends on strictly crossborder perceptions and feelings. Along with Michel De Certau, we believe that in Leichnam “space is composed of intersections of mobile elements”: memory transforms a space in an other one. Such transitory space is, in Winkler’s “supermodern world” (Augé), a space for flâneurs, who travel around the world, as if it were a city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
