The Iraqi Museum in Baghdad houses a large collection of incantation bowls coming from both archaeological excavations and chance findings. In the last few years access to this collection has become increasingly difficult. The study presents the texts of two incantation bowls housed in Baghdad. Their utterances and sentences in Jewish Babylonian Aramaic provide interesting elements useful for fostering research on Aramaic varieties and forms of expression of Mesopotamian cultures in the Sasanian period.

Abstract
The Iraqi Museum in Baghdad houses a large collection of incantation bowls coming from both archaeological excavations and chance findings. In the last few years access to this collection has become increasingly difficult. The study presents the texts of two incantation bowls housed in Baghdad. Their utterances and sentences in Jewish Babylonian Aramaic provide interesting elements useful for fostering research on Aramaic varieties and forms of expression of Mesopotamian cultures in the Sasanian period.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
