Abstract
Michel de Certeau tried to describe a topology identifying and contextualising the genre of the mystic fable throughout history. He has delineated its contours over two centuries, the 16th and the 17th. This paper focuses on the continued presence of the mystical in modern and contemporary literature : a reading of Gérard de Nerval’s Aurélia as a fable of mysticism serves to explore this issue. It may constitute a first stage in a larger theorisation of the mystic fable in modern and contemporary prose.File in questo prodotto:
