A tunable diode-pumped Er-Yb:glass microlaser has been frequency locked to a grid of nine absorption lines of isotopic acetylene, (C2H2)-C-13, in the 1540-1551nm wavelength range using a simple fringe-side-locking technique. Beat-note measurements between two identical lasers show sub-megahertz long-term stability over several hours and a short-term oscillator linewidth below 50kHz. Time and spectral analysis of closed-loop error-signals for the different locking wavelengths are also reported.

Abstract
A tunable diode-pumped Er-Yb:glass microlaser has been frequency locked to a grid of nine absorption lines of isotopic acetylene, (C2H2)-C-13, in the 1540-1551nm wavelength range using a simple fringe-side-locking technique. Beat-note measurements between two identical lasers show sub-megahertz long-term stability over several hours and a short-term oscillator linewidth below 50kHz. Time and spectral analysis of closed-loop error-signals for the different locking wavelengths are also reported.File in questo prodotto:
