The contribution focuses on a series of Sicilian patrimonial lexemes, relating to the agricultural-pastoral semantic field – erva ‘grass’, frummentu ‘grain’ and lavuri ‘wheat’, vizza ‘vèccia’, streccu and litami ‘dung, fertilizer’, sàutu ‘high overhanging rock face’ – in a relationship of partial synonymy (or, to say it with Gusmani 1986: 199, Orioles 2015: 224 and Hope 1971: 670, of “homoionymy”), with loans of Galloromance matrix and / or galloitalica and / or tuscany attributable to the Norman-Swabian era. The contribution shows how the interference has significantly acted on the structuring of some semantic-lexical areas, resulting in cases of polarization, neutralization and, sometimes, conservation and coexistence between assets and loans, which have differentiated over time on a diatopic or diastratic level.

Abstract
The contribution shows how the interference has significantly acted on the structuring of some semantic-lexical areas, resulting in cases of polarization, neutralization and, sometimes, conservation and coexistence between assets and loans, which have differentiated over time on a diatopic or diastratic level.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
