The contribution examines four fragments from the second book of Ulpian’s De omnibus tribunalibus, D. 50.16.198, 23.5.5, 27.9.6 and 27.9.8, which deal with an oratio Severi of 195 AD, in relation to which the jurist expresses the concept of ‘urban praedia’, reports an opinion expressed by Iulianus, comments on a pars orationis concerning the ownership and usufruct of the fund and, in examining the prohibition on alienating the assets of the pupilli or the adulescentes, underlines the role of the praetor urbanus.

Abstract
