Project ‘CRESCIBLUREEF’ produced anew,17km2 high-resolution bathymetric map, leadingtogoodknowledgeabouttheirextentinthisarea.Cbioconstructionsare largely distributedalongtwodepthranges36–42 mand86–102 mwaterdepth.By coupling thedocumentedupliftrateinthisregionandtheHolocenesea-levelcurve,we were abletointerpretthedistributionofCoutcropsoverterraces.However,additional investigation isrequiredtounderstand:(1)theroleoftheinheritedcontinentalshelf landscape, increatingafavorablesubstrateforthesettlementandgrowthofChabitats during theHolocene,and(2)theextenttowhichCbioconstructionscanimpactthe evolution ofpresent-daycontinentalshelflandformsandlandscapes.
