This paper analyses the active labour policies in different european Countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, France and United kingdom. A particular measure - start-up incentives - is studies to understand how different countries dealing with different welfare traditions are carring on the active-passive mix upon labour expanditures. The analyses and the theorical reflections suggest that, regarding the Italian case, a more organized network of start-up policies and agencies ought to optimize the effectiveness of there policies.
