Valutazione comparativa dell'efficacia della piperacillina per uso topico in chirurgia orale [Comparative evaluation of the efficacy of piperacillina in oral surgery]

Aim of the work The purpose of our clinical-statistical research is to evaluate the efficacy of the topical application of Piperacillin in the prophylaxis of infections linked to oral surgical treatments.Materials e methods The study has been developed in patients receiving bilateral surgical treatments. In every patient has been effected a topical prophylaxis in the first treatment and systemic in the second one. The prophylaxis degree of post-surgery complications has been tested by measuring and comparing the local phlogiston post-surgical manifestations.Results The analysis of the data showed that the mean values of pain intensity and the inflammation indicators in both treatments were similar. The graph curves decrease in the same wayConclusion The clinical results demonstrate that there is no significant differences between topical and general prophylaxis regarding the phlogistic post-surgical complications. No side effects or adverse manifestations were reported
