Sustainability must be understood as the transformative possibility of ‘changing the way,’ i.e. the educational paradigm that pedagogically qualifies lifestyles in the context of an environmental and human ecology. This difficult and unavoidable invitation directly calls for pedagogical responsibility in accepting the conscious and non-rhetorical call to promote a new culture of human becoming. This culture reclaims the ontological value of the limit and beauty as key constructs for developing a holistic ecological consciousness.
