The political goal of the Arbeiter does not revolve around the conflict between state and society. It is not a question of absorbing society into the state, as in the classic totalitarian paradigm. The state that Jünger thinks of is ‘Form’, but the state-form is not totalitarian, because it does not include any society within it; rather, it is ‘total’, because every articulation falls on society. It will be therefore a question of reformulating the political praxis starting from the question of the ‘Form’. What does it mean to think about politics in terms of forms? This is the real theme of the Arbeiter.
