It dwells on the theme of sunspots and presents the positions of Galileo and Christoph Scheiner, Jesuit mathematician and astronomer of Ingolstadt. It clarifies their positions on the controversy over sunspots and explains the resistance within the Jesuits that accompanied the innovations that Scheiner proposed regarding the nature of heavens.
