We derive an analytical formula for the transfer cross section in a heavy-ionreaction at high incident energy (2 20 MeV/u). A semiclassical transfer amplitude and asharp cut-off approximation for the absorption from the elastic channel are used. Tworeactions are studied and the results compared with finite-range DWBA calculations.
