The paper summarizes the Session B2 of the conference Thinking the Theatre. New Theatrology and Performance Studies (Turin, 29 to 30 May 2015), which brought together two different topics: "Journals and archives" on the one hand, "Theatre and social interaction" on the other. Despite the double articulation, the panel has maintained a discreet unity of purpose and has highlighted the need to rethink the storytelling of the theater of the present and the transmission of past memory.
