Many times, in the course of their lives, people make decisions and many times deliberative actions are not based on rational calculation, but, on the contrary, are conditioned by conflicting information, by the complexity of everyday life and by inertia. In other words, bad decisions, good intentions and the illusion of a rational interiority constitute a dangerous but very common mixture, which influences all dimensions of public and private life. In this respect, libertarian paternalism, moving through the approach of social psychology and behavioral economics, attempts to introduce a new way of evaluating choices and opportunities and to attribute a new role to institutions.

Abstract
Many times, in the course of their lives, people make decisions and many times deliberative actions are not based on rational calculation, but, on the contrary, are conditioned by conflicting information, by the complexity of everyday life and by inertia. In other words, bad decisions, good intentions and the illusion of a rational interiority constitute a dangerous but very common mixture, which influences all dimensions of public and private life. In this respect, libertarian paternalism, moving through the approach of social psychology and behavioral economics, attempts to introduce a new way of evaluating choices and opportunities and to attribute a new role to institutions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
