Abstract
The project is a work of unveiling and rediscovering forgotten features and forces that over time have been removed in the chaos of ideological planning or informal actions. The systems, appearing as relics of a condition surpassed by movements in society, can be regarded as a useful characteristic to precisely address the urgent issues that arise in the present. It’s as if a fossil, found beneath layers of soil, suddenly comes back to life, solving new problems far removed from the needs for which it was originally born. The research explores how to imagine sympoietic relationships between different territorial systems and the abandoned wrecks left to themselves. In an exaptation project, by connecting the lines discovered in the field, the taken-for-granted territoriality of certain systems (urban aggregates, coastline, lagoon, agricultural fields, squatter settlements, tourist activities) is disrupted. Moving from within the studied places, it celebrates the opening to new assemblages and unexpected combinations. The bricoleur’s posture implies the ability to describe and unveil those relics of anthropic infrastructures or geographical permanences that invisibly pervade cities and territories, constituting points of leverage to guide and accompany evolution through new concatenations and assemblages.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
