The aim of this study is to analyse the representations and the multiple facets of love feeling in three different plays written by the Egyptian playwright Rašā ‘Abd al-Mun‘im between 2007 and 2010. Walad wa bint wa ḥāǧāt (A Boy, a Girl and Other Things), Ṣayd al-aḥlām (Fishing Dreams), and Māḏā yaḥduṯ ‘indamā yaḫda‘ raǧul imra’atan aw al-Ṭarīqah al-maḍmūnah li ’l-taḫalluṣ min al-buqa‘ (What Happens when a Man Cheats a Woman or How to Be Sure to Remove Stains) deal with different variations of love, related to the cultural and social environment in which they were created. The richness of language and forms of linguistic and artistic expression examined in this essay provides a faithful representation of what is expressed and experienced by human beings in a specific context. Theater proves itself as one of the forms of expression which best manages to reproduce the depth and complexity that characterizes the experience of love.

Abstract
Theater proves itself as one of the forms of expression which best manages to reproduce the depth and complexity that characterizes the experience of love.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
