VastaAbstractIn Jorge Luis Borges’ literature, the question of time and Self is an indis-soluble combination. In this paper, going through Borges’ most important writings, I want to highlight the contrast in which the fragmentation of the Human Self in the world persists, the compactness of time and its all-en-compassing variant which is Eternity. What follows is the demonstration that literature and philosophy in Borges not only accompany each other, but contribute to forming a single body within which a true process of exchange and synthesis of models of existence takes place.

Abstract
VastaAbstractIn Jorge Luis Borges’ literature, the question of time and Self is an indis-soluble combination. In this paper, going through Borges’ most important writings, I want to highlight the contrast in which the fragmentation of the Human Self in the world persists, the compactness of time and its all-en-compassing variant which is Eternity. What follows is the demonstration that literature and philosophy in Borges not only accompany each other, but contribute to forming a single body within which a true process of exchange and synthesis of models of existence takes place.File in questo prodotto:
