The results of transcranial Doppler ultrasound recording have been compared on two groups of 15 patients each, affected by chronic cerebrovascular disease and depressive pseudodementia, respectively. The aim of the work is to find any significant statistical difference in the results which can be helpful in the differential diagnosis. Data show statistically significant difference in mean velocity (p < 0.05), and Fourier and Gosling indexes (p < 0.01). A more marked evidence is shown at the level of the middle cerebral artery.

Abstract
The results of transcranial Doppler ultrasound recording have been compared on two groups of 15 patients each, affected by chronic cerebrovascular disease and depressive pseudodementia, respectively. The aim of the work is to find any significant statistical difference in the results which can be helpful in the differential diagnosis. Data show statistically significant difference in mean velocity (p < 0.05), and Fourier and Gosling indexes (p < 0.01). A more marked evidence is shown at the level of the middle cerebral artery.File in questo prodotto:
