La Querelle des Femmes nell’ "Orlando furioso": oltre le generalizzazioni

Orlando furioso, fictional space in which the entire human experience merges, ends up to embrace, fictionalizing them, the terms of the traditional Querelle over women’s nature when it opens up to parallel universes of genres. While it goes through the reading of some episodes, such as Rodomonte’s, Marganorre’s and murderous women’s, this essay wants to investigate how the characters of Furioso are driven by personal experience to adopt philogynous or misogynous beliefs. The original position assumed by Ariosto regarding the Querelle des Femmes will be determined throughout this path
