The concentrations of ̄E, ̄LPH and ACTH in the cerebro-spinal fluid was measured in patients with cerebral haemorrhage and treated with naloxone and dexamethasone. Peptide levels appeared to be unchanged as compared to those of control subjects, also after injection of naloxone. However, after dexamethazone dose was halved, a pick of ̄EP liquoral levels was present. These results seem to support the concept of different sources for ̄EP and ̄LPH in cerebro-spinal fluid and plasma.

Abstract

The concentrations of ̄E, ̄LPH and ACTH in the cerebro-spinal fluid was measured in patients with cerebral haemorrhage and treated with naloxone and dexamethasone. Peptide levels appeared to be unchanged as compared to those of control subjects, also after injection of naloxone. However, after dexamethazone dose was halved, a pick of ̄EP liquoral levels was present. These results seem to support the concept of different sources for ̄EP and ̄LPH in cerebro-spinal fluid and plasma.
