The authors have studied the results of a subchronic treatment with neuroleptics on plasmatic levels of β-endorphin in schizophrenic patients. The radioimmunological assay of plasma before and after the treatment showed a reduction of peptide plasmatic concentration. There are also low values of β-LPH after the same kind of treatment.
