In this article, I examine the discursive manifestations of spiritual experience in Christian Bobin’s Le Très-Bas (1992). I propose interpreting the work as an "inner biography" of Saint Francis of Assisi, transcending the conventions of traditional hagiography. I then provide insights into Bobin’s mystical discourse, characterized by strategies that challenge conventional discursive logic. Finally, I suggest viewing Le Très-Bas as a complex semantic construct that invites readers to engage in deep reflection on their own spiritual experience, thereby offering new perspectives for studying Bobin’s work and the expression of spiritual experience in contemporary literature.

Abstract
In this article, I examine the discursive manifestations of spiritual experience in Christian Bobin’s Le Très-Bas (1992). I propose interpreting the work as an "inner biography" of Saint Francis of Assisi, transcending the conventions of traditional hagiography. I then provide insights into Bobin’s mystical discourse, characterized by strategies that challenge conventional discursive logic. Finally, I suggest viewing Le Très-Bas as a complex semantic construct that invites readers to engage in deep reflection on their own spiritual experience, thereby offering new perspectives for studying Bobin’s work and the expression of spiritual experience in contemporary literature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
