Abstract
The historical events of the church of Santa Maria in Sezze had been studied so far only on the basis of sporadic but significant written sources. New surveys and direct analysis have now clarified the stratification and identified three building sites between the 12th and 14th centuries, contextualizing them in the architectural panorama of southern Latium. These construction phases were hooked to hitherto neglected hypotheses on the role played by the patron, who was identified as the Counts de Ceccano.File in questo prodotto:
