The aim of this study is to provide a conceptual model that guides rms in managing the transition to sustainability including poverty alleviating in their business models. Based on the More Sustainable Business Model literature, this research contributes to outline key dimensions to address sustainability-related problems. In line with the previous studies in the tourism sector, this paper adopted a qualitative case study regarding the transition of the sustainability-oriented business model. This paper selected an international hotel group among the largest in Europe with a long commitment to sustainability and adopting the Global Reporting Initiative standard. Findings link the business model for sustainability to poverty alleviation identifying the More Sustainable Business Model microdimensions (input value, systems elements, stakeholder engagement, output value).
