This paper aims to reflect on human corporeality through the philosophical reflections of Ortega y Gasset and Flusser. When we see a man’s body, do we see a body, or do we see a man? According to Ortega y Gasset, we see a body that symbolizes something else: the interiority, the psyche that inhabits the human intus. And in the telematic society on which Flusser reflects and in which the body is a “spoilsport”, what remains of the human being if that reduced body no longer means anything? If the loved one’s body no longer refers to the soul, what exactly do I relate to?

Abstract
This paper aims to reflect on human corporeality through the philosophical reflections of Ortega y Gasset and Flusser. When we see a man’s body, do we see a body, or do we see a man? According to Ortega y Gasset, we see a body that symbolizes something else: the interiority, the psyche that inhabits the human intus. And in the telematic society on which Flusser reflects and in which the body is a “spoilsport”, what remains of the human being if that reduced body no longer means anything? If the loved one’s body no longer refers to the soul, what exactly do I relate to?File in questo prodotto:
